  • What is Grade Point Average (GPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which represent student's academic achievement.

What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the practise of taking someone's else work or ideas or passing them off as one's own.


How to prevent plagiarism

Calculating Grade Point Average

Formula of GPA

GPA = The total credit values registered and attempted in the assessment of a semester
             -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                          The total credit units acquired in the same semester

Formula of CGPA

CGPA = The total credit values registered and attempted in the assessment of all semesters
               --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                     The total credit units acquired in all semesters

If Amalia had received a D in Cell Bio , her GPA is getting decrease from 2.84 to 2.29.

Getting Ready To Learn

At this date, It was my first ever Study Skills class that was conducted by YBrs. Dr Fauzi bin Azmi. All the students were gathered in the hall.

He explained a lot of things to students . We have 7 syllabus contents that need to learn until the interim session come to the end.


  • Getting Ready To Learn
  • Goal Setting
  • Library & Campus Resources
  • Time Management & Organizational Skills
  • Memory Learning & Improving Concentration
  • Taking Lecture Notes
  • Academic Integrity & Performances

We also have assessment that we need to do

  • Assignment (Video) = 40 %
  • E. Portfolio = 60 %
    Total = 100%
Other than that, he added that the students are not in the school anymore because the school life and the univeristy life are different.

Gearing up For University
 
  • Attendance must be 80% and above
  • Fewer reasons for excused absences
  • Responsible for your own learning & behaviour
  • Instructors don' tell you what exactly notes to take
  • You spend less time in class
  • You can drop a class

Two days ago, I learned about Library & Campus Resources. The class was conducted by Sir Mohd Anwar bin Hassim. I laughed a lot in the class as he shared us some funny stories.

He told us we can borrow 20 books for 14 days . He added, we have to pay the fine if we return the book(s) late.
